I Joined Angel Squad — I'll Report Back in a Week on Whether It's Worth It
The day my interview wrapped up, I wrote a post saying I’d probably join. I didn’t hold out long — two days later I just clicked pay.
I picked the 4 installments of $875 option instead of paying in full. Not because I couldn’t swing it — I wanted a built-in “review every quarter” checkpoint. If it stops being worth it mid-way, I can still stop.
Once I got in, the content turned out to be more structured than I expected:
- Onboarding: a proper intro flow that walks you through the community, the tools, and how deals actually get done.
- Videos and courses: a lot of them. From how to evaluate deals, to how to talk to founders, to the unglamorous-but-unavoidable stuff like taxes and legal.
- Weekly Wednesday online events: guest talks plus community interaction. Looks like this is where the signal density is highest.
My plan is simple: don’t rush into any deals yet. Work through the videos and courses, show up for every Wednesday event. Then come back in a week and write about whether it’s actually worth the price.
One early thought: paying money is itself a filter. Free stuff gets “saved for later” and never revisited. Once you’ve paid, you actually force yourself to use it. Even just that effect might already be worth part of the price tag.
See you next week.
